A beautifully aged Raw Pu-erh (Sheng Pu-erh) from the Lao Tong Zhi (This Old Comrade) 典藏 series, produced in Batch 601.
 
Made in Yunnan and presented as an arbor-tree green cake (乔木青饼), this tea has had many years to develop greater depth, smoothness and complexity.
 
With careful aging, the original youthful bitterness and astringency have mellowed into a richer, more rounded character. It is a satisfying tea for both experienced Pu-erh drinkers and collectors looking for a mature Sheng with plenty of character.
 
Taste Profile: Smooth and mellow with notes of aged wood, dried fruit, subtle herbal sweetness and camphor, followed by a pleasant lingering sweetness (回甘) and a warming, full-bodied finish.
